Psychomotor therapy is a paramedical field that aims to support and ensure an individual’s harmonious development. It mainly studies the interactions between perception, feeling, thought, movement, and behavior. It observes how these interactions manifest themselves corporately.
The psychomotor domains are:
• Body Schema
• Gross & Fine Motor Skills
• Lateral Dominance & Preference
• Handwriting Skills
• Cognitive Functions
• Spatial Domain
• Temporal Domain
• Muscle Tone
Psychomotor therapy is for all age groups (babies, children, teenagers, adults, and elderly people). At Kids Airline, we always start with an initial assessment report (after 2 to 4 sessions), followed by a therapy plan (objectives and recommendations). Sessions are then scheduled once or twice a week depending on every patient's needs. Finally, and after 6 months of therapy, an evolution assessment is conducted to decide on next steps.
